Leafy Street - 2024

Youtuber Leafy Street approached me to illustrate a poster for his upcoming merch store. He asked for a scientific poster of New Caledonian gecko species which to me felt like a dream project. Leafy Street provided some photos of geckos which he owned as pets and I incorporated them into the poster.

This project allowed me to sink my teeth into illustrating reptiles with animal lovers in mind when thinking about composition and colours. I experimented with keeping my colours cohesive without varying too much from accurate species coloration. I learned different ways to illustrate scales which before felt daunting and time consuming, I really enjoyed the challenge.
